BMW AirTouch makes Debut at Consumer Electronics Show 2016
BMW made quite a stir at the Consumer Electronics Show 2016 (CES) in Las Vegas with its innovative designs and recent breakthroughs. From January 6 to January 9, automakers from around the world showcase their latest electronic gadgets and systems at this world-famous show.
According to BMW, highlights included the BMW i Vision Future Interaction, a concept car that provides “drivers” with a look at the future of driving. With an integrated network, high-resolution displays, touch-sensitive surfaces, and voice command, show-goers could see what BMW has in store for the future. This i Vision Future also has a heads-up display, three-dimensional 21-inch panorama, and AirTouch.
BMW premiered AirTouch at the CES 2016 as well, a system that utilizes sensors to recognize movements made by the hand. A flick of the wrist or your eye movement let the system know exactly what you have in mind, letting you control the vehicle better than ever before.
Other breakthrough presented at the show include: Open Mobility Cloud network, Mobility Mirror, Gesture Control Parking, Remote 3D View, Bumper Detect System, BMW Connected (upgrades), BMW ConnectedRide, and more.
Look out for more technologies from BMW in 2016 as they continue to pave the way for innovation in the automotive industry.
