Brand-New BMW X3 Revealed for 2018
The second-generation BMW X3 has been in production since 2011, seamlessly combining sporty vibes with something between an SUV and a wagon. As such a unique nameplate in BMW’s lineup, the BMW X3 has created a bit of a reputation for itself, attracting the attention of BMW enthusiasts the world over. Now, however, the brand-new BMW X3 is coming out for a third-generation makeover in 2018.
We only know a few details as of right now, but we are expecting the 2018 BMW X3 to be on North American shores by the end of this year. Two variants will be available – one with a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that cranks out 248 horsepower, and another with a 3.0-liter turbo inline-6 engine that will deliver 355 horespower. The former will be called the X3 xDrive30i, while the other is a new M Performance trim, the X3 M40i. Both trims come equipped with BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Some more features include a trailer hitch that can handle up to 4,400 lbs, available ventilated front seats, three-zone climate control, and larger maximum cargo capacity.
