Spotted: New BMW M5
The new BMW M5 was recently seen dressed in camouflage in the street’s of the company’s home in Munich. Although the camouflaging made it difficult to see all that the next-generation M5 has in store, we do get a few hints as for what to expect.
The M5’s air intake still spans the width of the front bumper; however, the center portion has been lifted to add a little extra style. The suspension of the sedan also seems to be lowered this time as you can see in the profile pictures here. Finally, the cross-drilled brake rotors and quad exhaust tips that poke out in the rear look to remain the same.
Although the alterations seem to be relatively minor, the biggest change could be the in the M5’s structure. Earlier spy shots suggest that the M5 will follow in the 7 Series’ footsteps and take on a lighter, more agile platform. It’s also suspected that the next-generation M5 will gain all-wheel drive and boast a whopping 600 horsepower.
